Where does support for Odroid (Hardkernel) machines stand in Recalbox? In short:
| Machine | Status in Recalbox 10.1 |
|---|---|
| Odroid Go Advance (rev 1.0 and 1.1) | ✅ Supported — dedicated image |
| Odroid Go Super | ✅ Supported — dedicated image |
| Odroid XU4 / XU4Q | ❌ Discontinued — last version: Recalbox 9.2.3 (Pulstar) |
These two DIY handheld consoles share the same hardware base (RockChip RK3326, 4 × Cortex-A35 cores, Mali-G31 GPU, 1 GB RAM) and the same Recalbox image, selected at installation time:
Installation follows the standard procedure: preparation and installation, using the Odroid Go Advance / Go Super image (recalbox-odroidgo2.img.xz).
The same software base also powers the Anbernic RG351 handhelds (P, V, MP), built around the same RK3326 chip — see Anbernic.
Good to know about these handhelds:
Recalbox supported the Odroid XU4 (and its XU4Q variant) for many years, but its aging SoC (Exynos 5422, released in 2014) could no longer keep up with the system's evolution.
The tutorials on this wiki mentioning the Odroid XU4 (OGST screen, fan,
config.ini…) only apply to the old 9.x versions and are no longer maintained.
