A few letters are enough to find a game in your whole collection: Recalbox's search is real-time, the result list refreshes as you type.

If you close the virtual keyboard without typing anything, the search window closes too. With a USB or Bluetooth keyboard, just type your search directly.
By default, the search looks at game names. The selector at the top right (D-pad left/right) lets you search in:

Description, developer, publisher and licence come from your games' scrape: run the internal scraper so these searches return results.

From a gamelist, open the contextual menu with START and choose SEARCH GAMES HERE: the search is then limited to the current system.
Two other entries of the same contextual menu launch ready-made searches about the selected game:
SEARCH OTHER VERSIONS — lists the other versions of the same game in your collection;SEARCH BY LICENCE — lists the games of the same licence (grayed out if the game has no licence filled in by the scraper). The search finds nothing? Type at least 3 characters. And for searches by description, developer, publisher or licence, the games must have been scraped.
Did the opening button change? Yes: in older Recalbox versions, the search opened with R1. It is now the Y button from the system list; inside the search window, R1 now reopens the virtual keyboard.
