¶ Overview
The Model 2 is the board that gave Sega's 3D its textures, in 1994, and with them a whole generation of classics. Where the Model 1 drew flat polygons, the Model 2 dressed them, and the result left the competition behind for three years.
The system came in several revisions — 2A, 2B and 2C — which improved sound and graphics without breaking compatibility. This is the platform Sega put in its most spectacular cabinets, from the Daytona USA cockpit to the Virtua Cop light guns.
Its library gathers the best of mid-nineties arcades: Daytona USA, Sega Rally Championship, Virtua Fighter 2, Virtua Cop and its sequel, The House of the Dead, Fighting Vipers, Last Bronx, Virtual-On, Manx TT Superbike, Sky Target, Dead or Alive, Dynamite Cop… Many never got a console port worthy of them.
The Model 2 was replaced in 1996 by the Model 3.

hornet is the only core for this system, and therefore the default one. It offers good compatibility, runs at full speed and supports CRT output. Lightguns are supported on the games that use them. Netplay, softpatching and RetroAchievements are not available on this system.
The Model 2 needs an RPi4/400 at least. It is not available on RPi3, RPi Zero 2, OGA/OGS/RG351 or RG353.

Accepted extensions: .zip .7z
The games are MAME-style romsets: leave them compressed, do not rename or unpack them.
