¶ Overview
The System 22 is Namco's answer to Sega's Model 1, and the board that launched Ridge Racer in 1993. It textures its polygons and shades them in gradients, which gives Namco's tracks their trademark reflections and sunsets.
Namco revised it in 1995 as the Super System 22, faster, which carried the cabinet games of the late nineties: the skis of Alpine Racer, the gun of Time Crisis, the pedals of Prop Cycle.
The library mixes racing and ride cabinets: Ridge Racer and Ridge Racer 2, Rave Racer, Ace Driver and its sequel Victory Lap, Cyber Commando, Cyber Cycles, Dirt Dash, Air Combat 22, Aqua Jet, Tokyo Wars, Armadillo Racing, and of course Time Crisis, Alpine Racer 1 and 2, Alpine Surfer and Prop Cycle.

sys22 is the only core for this system, and therefore the default one. It offers good compatibility, runs at full speed and supports CRT output. Lightguns are supported on the games that use them. Netplay, softpatching and RetroAchievements are not available on this system.
The System 22 is available on RPi5/500 and PC only: the system is too demanding for the other machines.

Accepted extensions: .zip .7z
The games are MAME-style romsets: leave them compressed, do not rename or unpack them.
