Every system declares a theme folder. That name, and only that name, is what Recalbox looks for in your theme: <your-theme>/<theme-folder>/theme.xml. It does not always match the ROM folder nor the internal system name — the "Internal name" column is given to remove any ambiguity (it is used by the ${system.name} variable and by settings, not by theme folders).
If a system has no dedicated folder in your theme, Recalbox falls back to
<your-theme>/default/theme.xml, then to<your-theme>/theme.xml. You never have to create all 146 folders.
