Recalbox already ships a selection of video add-ons installed out of the box: YouTube, Netflix, Plex, Twitch, Crunchyroll, Freebox TV and Orange TV. For everything else, Kodi can install add-ons coming from external repositories — this is the case for Amazon Prime Video and Disney+, which are not bundled with Recalbox.
External repositories are neither developed nor maintained by the Recalbox team. A third-party add-on can stop working overnight, whenever the service it relies on changes. We cannot provide support for those add-ons.
The major streaming platforms (Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix…) encrypt their streams with Widevine, a proprietary Google module that Recalbox is not allowed to redistribute. Kodi downloads it on demand through the InputStream Helper assistant, but that module does not exist for every platform.
In practice:
So make sure the add-on does use inputstream.adaptive (shipped with Recalbox) and that InputStream Helper is enabled in its settings.
For safety reasons, Kodi refuses by default to install anything other than the official repository.
Settings > System > Add-ons.Unknown sources and confirm the warning.A repository is installed from a .zip file that you download on your computer, then copy to your Recalbox.
.zip file on your computer (see the examples below)./recalbox/share/kodi — see adding games and files over the network.Add-ons > Install from zip file and pick the file you copied. Confirm the warnings.Add-ons, go to Install from repository: the repository you just added appears in the list.Video add-ons, select the add-on you want and install it. Kodi installs the dependencies automatically. The add-on then shows up under My add-ons and can be started from Add-ons.

The Sandmann79 repository provides the Amazon VOD add-on: download the latest plugin repository from github.com/Sandmann79/xbmc/releases, then follow the procedure above. The add-on sits in Sandmann79s Repository > Video add-ons > Amazon VOD.
When you open the add-on, the settings window shows up: under Connection, choose Sign In… then enter your e-mail address and password.
If your Amazon account uses two-factor authentication, signing in from Kodi will most likely fail. Amazon may also ask for your password and a captcha several times: this is expected.
The SlyGuy repository provides the Disney+ add-on: download repository.slyguy.zip from slyguy.uk, then follow the procedure above. The add-on sits in SlyGuy Repository > Video add-ons > Disney+.
When you open the add-on, choose Login, enter your e-mail address and password, then pick the profile to use.
Unknown sources is enabled, and that the file you downloaded really is the repository and not the add-on alone.InputStream Adaptive and InputStream Helper are enabled. This is almost always a decryption module issue.Need help? Join the Recalbox Discord, but keep in mind that support for third-party add-ons is provided by their authors.
