The Dragon 32/64 is emulated by XRoar. Your games go in /recalbox/share/roms/dragon, in .cas, .wav (tapes), .dsk, .dmk, .jvc, .vdk, .os9 (floppies), .rom, .ccc (cartridges) and .bas, .asc (BASIC programs) formats.
A keyboard is essential on this system.
By default, the emulated machine is a Dragon 64. The model is derived from the subfolder the game sits in:
| Subfolder | Emulated machine |
|---|---|

XRoar supports picture smoothing, which you can toggle from START > IN-GAME SETTINGS > SMOOTH GAMES.
XRoar accepts configuration overrides, with one important caveat: they do not stack. The first one found in the following order is the only one used:
rom.ext.config → <folder>.config → <parent folder>.config → …
XRoar's configuration file syntax does not allow overrides to be layered cleanly. To generate a complete configuration file to work from, connect over SSH and run:
xroar --config-all > .config
Joysticks 0 and 1 are handled automatically, whatever order you chose in EmulationStation.
If a program "prints", the text is redirected to a file on your Recalbox:
/recalbox/share/saves/dragon/printer/rom-extension.txt
