Star Trek: Voyager — Elite Force was released in 2000, developed by Raven Software and published by Activision. You play Ensign Alexander Munro, a member of the Hazard Team, a strike unit created by Tuvok aboard the USS Voyager, stranded 70,000 light-years from Earth. The game follows the series closely: Voyager is captured by an alien vessel in the middle of a graveyard of derelict ships, and the team has to fight its way through Borg, Hirogen and Malon.
It is one of the few Star Trek shooters everyone agrees on. Raven Software takes care of the atmosphere — bridge, holodeck, phaser, tricorder — and most of the show's cast voice their own characters. A multiplayer mode, Holomatch, is played directly on the ship's holodeck. An Expansion Pack followed the next year.
Technically, the game runs on id Tech 3, the engine behind Quake III Arena, of which Raven Software was one of the major licensees. Recalbox replays it with vitaVoyager, a libretro core from that lineage, distributed under the GPL-2.0 licence.

Star Trek: Voyager — Elite Force is only available on PC (x86_64). The core is not built for any other board: neither RPi3/RPi Zero 2, nor RPi4/400, nor RPi5/500, nor OGA/OGS/RG351, nor RG353. On those machines the system does not appear. For id Tech shooters on a Raspberry Pi, see Doom, Quake and Quake 2.
vitaVoyager is the only emulator for this system. Netplay is not available on this system and RetroAchievements are not supported. CRT output is handled by the core.
Place your games in:
/recalbox/share/roms/ports/Star Trek Voyager/
Supported extensions: .pak .zip .7z
Recalbox ships no game file for Elite Force: the roms folder starts out empty, and this system has no built-in downloader. You need the data from an original copy of the game.
The data goes into a baseEF/ subfolder, exactly as in the original installation:
/recalbox/share/roms/ports/Star Trek Voyager/
└── baseEF/
├── pak92.pak ← the entry recognised by the game list
└── … ← the game's other data files
baseEF/pak92.pak is the file Recalbox looks for in order to show Elite Force in the game list. Copy the entire contents of your installation's baseEF folder, not just that one file: the engine needs all the data to start.
