The SuFami Turbo is an adapter launched by Bandai in Japan in 1996. It plugs into the cartridge slot of the Super Famicom and in turn offers two slots for proprietary mini-cartridges, far cheaper to produce than a regular Super Famicom cartridge.
The dual slot is not a gimmick: several titles take advantage of two games being present at once to exchange data between them — transferring characters, vehicles or maps from one game to another. The SuFami Turbo also handles saving, since the mini-cartridge has no save memory of its own.
The catalogue is very small, about fifteen titles, nearly all published by Bandai and built on its licences: the SD Ultra Battle series, Gundam Generation, Crayon Shin-chan, Poi Poi Ninja World and Gekitou Power Modeler. The accessory arrived late in the console's life, at a point when attention was shifting to the Nintendo 64 and the PlayStation, and stayed Japan-only.

The .st extension is the one used by SuFami Turbo mini-cartridge dumps. The other extensions are the usual Super Nintendo ones. The .zip and .7z archives are read directly, with no need to extract them first.
No game ships with Recalbox for this system: the folder is empty on first boot.
