New in Recalbox 10.1: Ymir is a modern Sega Saturn emulator, shipped for the first time in this release.
Ymir is a Sega Saturn emulator developed by StrikerX3 and released under the GPL-3.0 license. Its libretro port is shipped in Recalbox under the same license.

The core is rated with high compatibility and high speed. It is not built for the RPi3 / RPi Zero 2 nor for OGA/OGS/RG351 devices.
Ymir is not the default Saturn emulator: you have to select it explicitly in the emulation options of the system or of a given game.

No entry in the Recalbox BIOS list associates a file with the Ymir core. The Saturn BIOS files described on the Saturn page are attached to the other cores of the system.
If a game refuses to start, install the Saturn BIOS files listed on the system page anyway: Saturn emulation needs them in most cases.

Disc images in Redump format are strongly recommended.
While in game, press HOTKEY + B to open the RetroArch menu, then go to the core options section to display the settings specific to Ymir.
The options exposed by Ymir change from one core release to another: rely on the list displayed in the RetroArch menu of your installation rather than on a fixed list. If you experience slowdowns on RPi4, start by lowering the rendering-related settings before switching to another Saturn emulator.
