The Cassette Vision is a home console launched by Epoch in Japan in July 1981. The machine's peculiarity: the processor (NEC µPD777) sits in each cartridge rather than in the console, which only provides power, controls and video output. Its controls are actually built into the console body itself. It was the best-selling console in Japan before the Famicom arrived.
