New in Recalbox 10.1: the Libretro PUAE 2021 core arrives on the Amiga systems.
Libretro PUAE 2021 is the "2021" variant of the libretro PUAE core, i.e. an earlier version of its code base, maintained alongside the current PUAE core. PUAE descends from P-UAE, itself derived from UAE and WinUAE.
The project is released under the GNU GPL v2 license: github.com/libretro/libretro-uae.

This core is not available on RPi5/500 nor on PC in Recalbox 10.1. On those machines, use Libretro PUAE or Libretro Amiberry.
Announced compatibility: high. Speed: high.
This core is not the one launched by default: on the boards where it is available, Libretro UAE4ARM starts first. On RPi3/RPI02W and RPi4/400, Libretro PUAE 2021 comes second in the emulator list; elsewhere you have to select it manually in the system or game options.

Those declarations name the historical cores (Amiberry, PUAE, UAE4ARM): Libretro PUAE 2021 is not listed there yet. A Kickstart is still required to emulate an Amiga: install the files exactly as you would for the other cores.

Games spread over several floppies can be grouped in a .m3u file listing the images in order: Recalbox then shows a single entry and disk swapping is done from the RetroArch menu. Recalbox 10.1 also brings support for .hdf virtual hard disks, which are very handy on Amiga 1200 for WHDLoad-installed games.

While in game, press HOTKEY + B to open the RetroArch menu, then go to the Options (Core Options) section to reach the emulator's own settings. Settings can be kept for the whole system or for one specific game.
Recalbox 10.1 enables the per-game configuration popup of the lr-puae cores by default: it lets you adjust the main settings when a game starts, without going through the RetroArch menu.
The exact list of options depends on the core version shipped with your Recalbox release.
